Agent

An AI agent is a system that uses a model to take actions autonomously — it plans steps, calls tools, observes results, and decides what to do next, looping until the task is done. Unlike a single prompt-response exchange, an agent can work through complex multi-step tasks with minimal human intervention. Agents are powerful but also less predictable: each step can go wrong.
