Short bio
Alexey Makarov is the Founder and Global Lead of the AI Center of Excellence at SEFE, a major European energy company, which he has led for two and a half years, with a community of 17% of global staff. He brings 20 years in consulting, corporate finance and transformation to the hard side of AI adoption: people, governance and capability, not demos. He shares what he learns at unrsnbl.ai.
Longer bio
Most AI programmes don’t fail because of the technology. They fail because organisations treat AI as a tool to install, when it is a capability to build. Alexey Makarov works on that harder path.
He brings 20 years in consulting, corporate finance and transformation. He founded the AI Center of Excellence at SEFE, a major European energy company, and has led it for two and a half years. He helped establish SEFE’s AI strategy and enablement framework, and leads an AI community of 17% of the company’s global staff and a core team of about 35 colleagues who drive AI adoption with him.
He created and runs the Applied Gen AI Training, delivered in person 25 times across the company’s offices. That’s where he sees what actually changes the way people work. On Unreasonable AI (unrsnbl.ai) he makes AI clear for leaders and knowledge workers, calmly and without the hype.
