Most AI mistakes are not intelligence failures. They are trust and verification failures. Let me explain what I mean. Think about AI failures you have seen. How many of them were really intelligence failures and how many of them were just wrong data, outdated information, or missing context? Often the model did exactly what it was supposed to do. The problem was the input. Here is the context. Large language models are closed systems. After training, they do not know what is happening in the real world. So we add bridges, search, documents, tools, APIs to bring reality into the model.
In blockchain, they call these bridges oracles. In AI, we call it grounding or retrieval augmented generation. But here is the key idea. The bridge is only as good as its verification. In blockchain, there are entire systems built to verify oracles before it goes on chain. In AI, we are building something similar, a verification chain. Where is the data coming from? Can we trust it? Can we crosscheck it? Can we cite it? So the real future is not only smart models. It is better bridges plus better checks.
If the bridge improves, AI becomes more reliable. If the bridge is weak, the best model can still fail. Better models for sure help, but better bridges help a lot more. The big questions for the future are the following ones. Which bridges to use? Who controls the bridge? Who verifies the truth? And when should we trust it? As of today, we do not have real answers, just the questions. But once you see the bridge, you can start asking the right questions. This was a thought on AI for today.
I hope you liked it, and I'll see you in the next one. Bye.
