AI enablement is not just a technology question.

Technology is only one part of it. But when an AI programme stalls, the blocker is usually somewhere else in the organization.

I have started to think about it through six questions.

1. Direction: do we know what an AI-enabled version of the organization should look like, or are we discovering it one pilot at a time?

2. Leadership: do we have clear accountability at the level where priorities, budgets and trade-offs are decided?

3. People: are employees being equipped and encouraged to work differently, or only introduced to another tool?

4. Technology: do our AI tools and data choices match the real work?

5. Implementation: how do we move as a company from the pilot worked to this is how we operate now?

6. Learning: how do we build continuous learning into the workplace?

Most organizations do not score evenly across all six. Each has a unique shape.

Strong tools, weak adoption. Good pilots, no owner. Clear enthusiasm, no target state. Good governance, slow learning.

That shape matters more than a generic maturity score.

The first videos in my AI Enablement series focus on Direction Target State, because without a shared destination, the rest tends to turn into motion. But the other five areas deserve the same discipline.

This is the framework I am building out. Slowly, one dimension at a time.
